Teaching quality assurance

JOINT TEACHING-STUDENT COMMISSION

The Joint Teaching-Student Commission (CPDS) of the Department is responsible for monitoring the educational offer and the quality of teaching. This is achieved by defining and monitoring appropriate indicators, harmonised with ANVUR indicators, aimed at measuring the degree of achievement of teaching objectives.

ANNUAL PROGRAMME REPORT (SUA-CDS) AND REVIEW REPORTS

The Annual Programme Report (SUA-CDS) is a management tool essential for the design, implementation, self-assessment, and redesign of a degree programme.

The Review is part of a periodic and scheduled self-assessment process of the degree programme. Its purpose is to verify the adequacy of the learning objectives set by the programme, the alignment between objectives and outcomes, and the effectiveness of the course management. It also involves investigating the causes of any unsatisfactory results. The primary aim of the Review is to implement specific corrective actions for the improvement of the degree programme and/or its management system.

The self-assessment activities of the degree programme are documented in two reports, which, despite addressing the same subject, require different analytical perspectives:

  1. Annual Monitoring Report (SMA), which has replaced the annual Review report since 2017.

The Annual Monitoring Report must be completed using the template defined by ANVUR and included in the AVA Guidelines (5 May 2017). This report presents indicators related to student progress and other quantitative monitoring metrics, which the degree programmes must summarise and comment on annually.

  1. Cyclical Review Report

This report covers the entire educational project (spanning the full duration of a group of students) and is based on relevant AQ Requirements (R3). It provides a detailed identification of issues and proposed solutions to be implemented in the next cycle.
